An unlikely path brings more possibilities

You aren’t going to get creative ideas by sitting behind a desk, going to meetings sitting behind more desks. You get them from going out of the usual barriers, the known barriers.

You get them from seeing what’s happening elsewhere in other areas of life. How do other systems work? How do other people understand?

For example, some cultures have linear thinking and others don’t. The way you engage with both is completely different. I know, I have experienced both. The ability to then develop a project and to implement it is so different and if you understand this, then you will be able to reach more people and have more outcome.
